A tourniquet, at a minimum, is something that we all should carry. However, if you are going to practice successfully applying your tourniquet, you must use a dedicated practice tourniquet and not your "real world" one.

great training aid
Don't use your actual TQs for practice. I have put the practice TQ through hundreds of reps, tightening, resetting, stretching, etc, still works like new and maintains the integrity of my first line gear. 10/10 recommend.

Confidence booster
I’ve been using this to get my 9 year old daughter to learn how to apply a tourniquet at random moments. I’ll just toss it to her and tell her where I’m “injured” and start to give her some pressure to get it on quick. Just in a week or so of doing that her confidence has started to increase and she is starting to realize that if something bad happens while we are hunting or out riding horses she has the capability to help solve the problem.

Practice with the same product you trust your life to
What is the point in buying medical gear that you are going to trust your life with and then not practice? What is the point of buy gear and then weakening it through practice? Buy the good stuff and buy this. Practice with the blue one and stuff the other ones everywhere for that terrible day when you need it.

Train to live
Owning a tourniquet is useless if you don't train to use one - training with your carry tourniquet degrades its performance potential. Purchase a trainer and use it.

Great training tool
The Training CAT is well made, I was able to use it as soon as I opened the package. Very good instructions. I will recommend this to coworkers, family and friends.

Great Trainer
Excellent trainer. Used to teach wife basics of TQ application. Both to others (mainly me) and herself. We recently relocated to a more rural area where EMS response time is minimum of 30 minutes. (When seconds count, they’re minutes away). Trainer has given her the confidence to apply properly and use for real, if ever necessary.

SOFF-W Training Tourniquet
This is the same as the regular tourniquet except for the color. You do not want to use your main tourniquet to practice with, so having a 'trainer' is the best practice. Bright blue color makes it easy to keep track of. Highly recommend.
