I attended one of the Dark Angel classes and after training with several tourniquets, this is the one I now have with me at all times. Easy to use and effective.

While I can say that I've thankfully never have had to use it the CAT tourniquet is a fantastic piece of kit. The sheer wide ranging uses of a tourniquet, spanning from venom control to arterial bleeding makes it a crucial piece that is often pasted over. Once you get this particular example in hand it's pretty evident that the designers tried to put as many useful and time saving features into the design while also making it simple enough that a novice or bystander could preform or assist with it's deployment. This is a must have piece kit, especially if you carry a firearm (professionally or personally).

You need one of these close at all times. It's incredibly simple to use with great quality. It will undoubtedly change the outcome of an emergency situation. Don't take a chance by not having one of these in your KIT close at hand.

The product is obviously designed with "simplicity under stress" in mind. I was impressed with the quality of the product and the ease of use. I will buy more for my other med kits. I am planning on taking a training course with Dark Angel. Great Company to work with. I have really been happy with all the med gear I have purchased.

I had to use tourniquets twice in my 43-year police/military/contractor career (on others). Now I keep three with one on my duty belt, one on my Tac vest and one on an additional kit in my SUV.
