Great Vehicle Kit
Fit perfectly in my work truck and wife’s SUV. Minimal space taken up and isn’t in the way even with kids in car seats. Great peace of mind to have medical in a place you are most likely to need it. More importantly get training from Dark Angel and know how to use it.

I hope I never have to use it!
The HEDR kit is very compact yet still contains the majority of the components in the legendary D.A.R.K IFAK (which I also own), with room for extra tourniquets. In the event of a vehicle accident, I don't think you could have too many tourniquets on hand. I added an extra CAT tourniquet for a total of 2 and added a SWAT-T tourniquet in the outer pouch, between the 2 CAT tourniquets. The SWAT is valuable since it takes up very little room in the kit, yet can serve as either a tourniquet or as part of an improvised pressure dressing. I also added a second set of gloves (for an assistant) and a mini Sharpie to record the time tourniquets were applied. There was plenty of room for these extras. When I first received the HEDR kit, I admit to being skeptical and a little disappointed, thinking the included roll of Velcro and the newer retention strap, couldn't possibly secure the kit very well. I was wrong. What I thought was just an afterthought and a cheap way to provide universal attachment, turned out to have been extremely well thought out. The Velcro wraps around the headrest vertically. Since the loop side faces out, the inner hook side can interface with cloth headrests and provide another layer of retention. This wouldn't be the case with vinyl or leather headrests, but still, the Velcro can be wrapped tightly around a headrest on which the hook side can't stick, since the provided roll is long enough to to stick to itself. It just takes wrapping the Velcro tight enough to prevent movement. With the included retention strap, the mounting is rock solid and won't move, yet the pouch will still tear away quickly and cleanly. I love this kit and it also serves as a great conversation piece. Everyone who gets in my Jeep asks about it, so it's a great chance to educate them about trauma kits (and a chance to dispel the myths about tourniquets, based on old information from before we learned the truth about them after 20 years on the battlefield). Medical equipment tends to be a bit pricey but this is one of the few purchases you make that you pray you never have to use. If the situation calls for it, this kit (and training) may save someone's life...how can you put a price on that? Dark Angel Medical will also replace any components used (with police report or other documentation submitted to to prove it), so there's nothing to lose with this kit. The other good thing about this kit is that I see it every time I get in my vehicle...it serves as a gentle reminder to be in the correct state of mind and awareness, to prevent me from ever having to deploy the kit. It really helps to make a difference in how you approach driving.

Never leave home without it
The HEDR is unobtrusive in my Tacoma and allows me to be prepared in times of need. I hope I never put the contents of this complete kit to use, but I am ready to respond if need be.

First off I just want to say fantastic company and the product is a high quality and fantastic Only one thing I’d i think would be a great option is to have the ability to pick what color strap that goes around the headrest regardless of what color kit you get But all in all would buy again and will continue to buy more products and will tell others as well

Great kit! Bought one each for my daughters and me. Like the two tourniquet option and recommend it. Enough room to add more chest seals, hemostatic gauze and a SWAT-T tourniquet. Great product!
