HEDR
I live in Alaska and spend significant time traveling the highways. The Dark Angel HEDR is a well built, and adequately configured trauma kit. The kit is easily removeable from the headrest for deployment. Being readily removable also mitigates some of the temptation for scum to break windows and steal it while away from the vehicle--just pull it when away and stow in the console. Well done Dark Angel! I can and do recommend the unit for vehicle based emergency response.

the HEDR
pretty darn good kit. a word of Caution: save yourself a lot of problems by watching the video first!, thought i got something else or the mounting strap was missing, not true. the strap iis a wide velcro band(looks more like ankle band, but if you take the time to unroll it, it is really a headrest band...operator error on my behalf. after several emails, i watched the video(Dark AngelMed, emailed me another copy and said to watch it, i followed directions and it works! and works quite well) the HDER is a very nice kit; either for initial treatment or a supplement to work with you usual work kit(the big shoulder bag in the car, or with a "Unit 1" type kit bag. on really neat thing is that all the components of the bag are vacuum packed, making a nice tight, small packet(may not look like everything is in the little pack but it is, except the CAT TQ's, and they fit in the side pockets..nice!). this still leaves room for other items to add(we all modify kits we buy for our own preferences, true?...you betcha we do!) i really love it. everything to keep the red stuff inside. not enough room for cuff, stethoscope, and pulse ox, but room for an Israeli Dressing. i think that the HDER in combination with my really old Unit 1 bag(yes original issue from the'60's) would about cover any situation i would come across either day to day or on a road trip, throw in some packs of 4x4's, vet wrap and a few other items, and extra gloves and a couple of bags of LR and IV setups and you can deal with most anything in limited numbers. the only thing you might want to seriously replace right away is to get rid of the small fakie shears and replace them with a really decent pair..my only complaint. a little spendy but worth it, i think..and i have been doing emergency medicine in hospitals and the brush for over 37 years....a very good starting point kit, you really don't need to do much, but we are all going to modify it for what we feel we can't live or work without

Great product! It rests on the headrest of my truck where it is handy and easy to get to. If you carry concealed you should have this trauma kit with you.

Outstanding Piece of Equipment
The kit is excellent for duty use and the design is perfect for rapid deployment. That said, the provided strap doesn't stick to leather as it does to cloth, but tightening the strap down solved that problem. Thanks again Dark Angel Medical for providing this product.
