Ankle Ifak

This kit is very comfortable, so far. I wear long socks and Kuhl pants or blue jeans for a typical work day servicing corporate clients as a programmer, and the kit fits very nice just above my mid top boots and fits securely to my leg without shuffling around. There is slight printing, but really nothing to be worried about considering the amount of trauma gear on-board, and frankly not that noticeable with my low-top hiking boots. I adjusted the SOFT tourniquet with windlass to the side in a "flat-pack" fold for a more shallow profile. (check out https://youtu.be/pN7Gxn4Avq8). Next I pocketed the front and back chest seals, together with the combat gauze, then the 4" ETD dressing, and finally the decompression needle. I carry the D.A.M. military trauma kit in the side of my bullet proof backpack when on location, but this seems to be the perfect CCW / EDC solution, at least for me when not carrying my pack.

Ankle Kit

It took a couple of days to break in, but after wearing the kit for a week it has become almost unnoticeable. The kit fits well over boots and boot cut jeans. It is comforting knowing that I have the gear on me to possibly save my own life or the life of another. My only critique is that the bands that loop over the contents to hold them in place tend to not stay in place and stuff tries to work its way out of the pockets. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is serious about their EDC; whether you are carrying a gun or not, you should always have medical supplies with you.
